---- Previous meeting notes ----

Yom Shabbat  August 16th , Location Michigan, Brother James Cramer's Home  1:00pm-5:00pm Parsha 45 Va’etchanan “And I besought” August 16, 2008 15 Av 5768 Deut. 3:23–7:11 Alef Melachim/1st KINGS 3, Acts 14

Yom Shabbat  August 9th , Location Michigan, Dr. Richard and Janice Clore's Home  1:00pm-5:00pm Parsha 44 Devarim “Words” August 9, 2008 8 Av 5768 Deut. 1:1–3:22 Alef Melachim/1st KINGS 2, Acts 13  8-9-08 Parsha 44 Devarim 1:1 - 3:22 1:1 Some questions concerning the reading of "the Sea of Reeds" in some translations and "the Red Sea' in others. Bro. Richard pointed out that the Hebrew text reads yom suf. vrs.4 Ashtoroth: Strongs' mentions this as being a place East of the Jordan. Interesting, and perhaps telling that it is the name of the pagans fertility goddess. vrs.11 Moshe K. makes a very interesting observation concerning the number of people this verse indicates, i.e. 4 out of every 6 people in the present world census would be of some Hebrew blood. 2:5 Again; Moshe's notes states that Esau's home was at that time in Mt. Seir. This led to a discussion concerning the children of Esau marrying into the families of Ishmael vrs.11 Emim were giants like the Raphayim. The Raphayim were like the Nephalim.  Nephalim means fallen; or more correctly, fallen ones. Mention was made that Jonathan Grey (not sure of the correctness of the name spelling) translates from the Sanskrit, before the flood man was able to travel in space.  Could it be the Nephalim or their descendants were in fact able to travel thus? The large artifacts in many locations around the world, which can only be made out from very high altitudes seem to indicate this.  Vrs 20 The Raphayim apparently were reinstituted again after the flood. The wilderness spoken of in this section may not necessarily have been desert at this time. ongoing wars, with their destruction, and the consequences of Sodom and Gommorah may have contributed to the desolation we find there today. 3:1-8 Looking at a map of ancient Israel indicated that this area east of the Jordan included a vast amount of territory. Og; the melech of Bashan was a giant. His bed frame was, (by our standards today) probably 13.5' x 6'. A discussion about some of the creationism dvd's out that show the large footprint of a young woman fossilized which; by measuring the stride, indicates she would have been in the neighborhood of 16' tall. Aleph Melechim 2: The newest archeological diggings in the city of David are finding many artifacts which collaborate with Scriptures. vrs.27 Did Melech Shlomo have the authority to cast out Avaithar? It was after all the the promise of YHWH to remove Eli's sons from the priesthood. (see I Shmuel 2:31-34. The Peshitta reads this section much differently. vrs.34  If Yoav was indeed still in the Tabernacle when he was slain, the Tabernacle would have become unclean, Thus the purification of the waters of the Red Heifer would have been needed upon all contained within as well as the Tabernacle itself. Acts 13:12 The word Torah in the RSTN version, is translated teaching in the Peshitta; whereas the KJV has 'doctrine'. Strong's #1322 mentions instruction, more in line with the reading of Torah. vrs.33 many people use this verse to indicate that Yahushua was not the Son of yHWH until after HIS death. Others claim he was not the Son until during HIS immersion when YHWH spoke out of the heavens proclaiming HIS as YHWH's Son (notes courtesy of bro. James)

Yom Shabbat  August 2nd , Location Michigan, Harrison Lake Park! 26246 Harrison Lake Road Fayette, OH 43521 1:00pm-5:00pm Parsha 43 Massei “Journeys” August 2, 2008 1 Av 5768 Num. 33:1–36:13 Alef Melachim/1st KINGS 1, Acts 12

Yom Shabbat July 26th , Location Michigan, Home Shabbat.  1:00pm-5:00pm Parsha 42 Mattot “Tribes” July 26, 2008 23 Tammuz 5768 Num. 30:2(1)*–32:42 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 24, Acts 11  7-26-2008 C.E.Parsha 42 Bam. 30:1 - 32:4230:1-17 Rabbinic teaching speaks of 2 types of vows/neder;1) the first is prohibitive whereby one establishes their own halacha; such as, I will not drink wine for 30 days. Although the Torah permits the drinking of wine, this self prohibiting vow/neder now takes precedence over the Torah's permission to drink wine. Therefore the drinking of wine within the 30 days considered on the same level as breaking a Torah Command.2) The other form of vow/neder is one whereby one obligates themselves to perform an optional command such as a wedding vow/neder.A little background on the word vow from The Blue Letter Bible.vow is Strongs # H5088 (neh-der) meaning: a votive offering. The root of this word is Na-darmeaning; to promise voluntarily. Otherwise; any promise whereby we obligate ourselves. In verse 4 we find the woman making an agreement (RSTN); oath (KJV); this word is Strong's # 632 (es-sar) meaning a binding obligation. From the root (a-sar) meaning to tie; bind; imprison. All of these applications are seriously lacking in modern Israel's concept of marriage, much as it appears to have been in ancient Israel. Also; in these verses we notice that the woman is under the covering of her father or husband; if she is not widowed, or unmarried and her father is dead. Otherwise either one which is her covering has the option of annulling her vows, if done before sunset. (notes courtesy of bro. James)

Yom Shabbat July 19th , Location Michigan Brother James Cramer's Home 1:00pm-5:00pm Parsha 41 Pinchas “Phineas” July 19, 2008 16 Tammuz 5768 Num. 25:10-30:1(29:40)* Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 23, Acts 10  7-18-08  Parsha 41 Bamidbar 25:10 - 29:40 26:8 The question was asked as to who was this person Pallu. Verse 6 indicates that he is a 'son' of Rueven. Verse 46 Since the precedent is to name only the sons, why is Sarah mentioned here. Rambam suggests that she is Asher's step daughter by his wife's first marriage, and that her mother was the sole heir of her own father, therefore; like the daughters of Tzslophehad she too received a share of The Land. 27: 1-11 we see the justice of YHWH as HE designates a portion of the inheritance to the daughters of a man who had no sons, thus his inheritance is preserved through his daughters. We also notice in this chapter that when a position of authority is passed on, it is through the laying on of hands, and is done before the priest; (in our time before our High Priest; Yahushua) and the entire congregation. 28: Throughout this chapter we see a great amount of grains being offered. While they are in the wilderness, where is this grain coming from? Is it by means of a miracle? or could it be that when they are in a place long enough, they plant fields, then move on to keep their flocks fed; returning to the fields during the harvest time? Verse 26; While the Feast of First-fruits is designated as a miqra Kodesh, we do not see such a designation for the Wave Offering during Unleavened Bread. 29;7 Just what is this "affliction"? We need to search this out during the upcoming week. Verses 24; 30; 33; all mention the drink offerings in a plural, while 27 mentions it only in the singular. This was true in several differing translations. Wondering if there is any significance to this? Verse 39 questions was; What did these vows consist of? are they vows to offer up something; to perform some duty; or what? Question was also put forward concerning what would be the financial value of all of these offerings? Comment was made that there might be a tally on The Purple Pomegranate website. !! Schmuel 23:39 This is the same Uriyah that King David betrayed. Maaseh Shlichim/ Acts 10:9 Was it a common practice to offer up "noon" prayers Daniel offered up prayers 4 times a day. Probably 9 am; 12 pm; 3 pm; and 6pm. Perhaps this practice was observed by the shlichim. Verse 28 notice it says; "call no man unclean"; no mention of animals here. (notes courtesy of bro. James)

Yom Shabbat May 24th , Location Michigan, Harlyn and Peggy Smith's Home  1:00pm-5:00pm Parsha 33 Bechukotai “In My Statutes” May 24, 2008 19 Iyyar 5768 Leviticus 26:3–27:34 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 15, Acts 2  Parsha 33 Wayiqra 26:3- 27:34 3-10 We start this Parsha reading with the wonderful promise of physical blessings if Israel will walk , obediently following YHWH. 11-12 the promise culminates in the awesome spiritual blessing of YHWH's very presence walking among Israel. Which was fulfilled in a temporal sense by the presence of Yahushua on earth. 14-39 YHWH's promise to bring curses upon Israel's disobedience in multiples of 7's ( a number of completeness). Verse 22 Indiana has noted an increase in wild hogs, while most states have also noted an increase in wolves, coyotes, bear, and other carnivores.  Is it possible that the term "wild living creatures" could possible include degenerate man?  Will the rising price of fuel bring about the prophecy of "desolate highways"? 32-33 this promise was fulfilled upon ancient Israel through different exiles, will it again be fulfilled upon modern Israel who is in dispersion? It is note worthy here that YHWH's 'brit'/covenant is mentioned in 6 passages in this chapter. Attention should especially be given to verse 42. Verses 40-41 set the conditions for verse 42 as humble repentance and acceptance of the punishment being dealt. Also verse 42 appears to be the only place in Scriptures where the Patriarch's are listed in reverse order, giving precedence to the brit/covenant made with Ya'acov/Israel. (see Bereshith 28:13-15 and 48:3-16) Bereshith 48 is particularly important as we see in verse 16 that the name of Yisrael/Ya'acov was to placed upon Efrayim and Menashsheh, thus the covenant made with Ya'acov; mentioned in Wayiqra 26:42 would appear to apply specifically to Efrayim and Menashsheh and their descendants. Vrs. 46 A reminder of whom YHWH had covenanted with. Chpt. 27:2-8 So much for the erroneous though that all mankind are created equal. This has to be a slap in the face to all 'women libbers'. Who are we to challenge Elohim? (notes courtesy of bro. James)

Yom Shabbat May 17th , Location Michigan - Brother James Home 1:00pm-5:00pm Parsha 32 Behar “On Mount Sinai” May 17, 2008 12 Iyyar 5768 Leviticus 25:1–26:2 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 14, Acts 1 Parsha 32 Wayiqra 25:1- 26:2 We know the significance of Atonement but why is the Sabbatical kept at this time rather then at the beginning of the year? The Chumash states that what we are seeing here is: 1) Sabbatical is a physical release. 2)Atonement is a spiritual release. 25:2 The Sabbatical year was to be a time of in depth study of the Torah on a personal level. Since the normal duties of working the fields, as well as harvesting and storing the fruit was not being kept, the people had alot of free time on their hands to dedicate to study. How wonderful this would prove to be in teaching ones children the ways of YHWH ! The Jubilee would play havoc with our economic system today. There would be no multi-generational oppression of the poor. No extremely rich living off the continual oppression of the poor. Every family would re-inherit their lands and possesions. Even when dealing with foriegnors in The Land, the rules of Jubilee prevailed. Verses 45-4. It appears that even the ger has this applied to him, though it may be that he must show that he is embracing Torah and desiring to live as an Israelite. 26:1  "standing image" appears to mean obilisk found throughout our nation and around the world. A true obolisk would have a jar with the remains of a child sacrifice buried at it's foundation. II Schmuel 13:1 See Moshe's notes in the Restoration Scriptures. These events may have caused animosity to grow in Avshalom against David. Yoch. 21;  No notes were taken. (notes courtesy of bro. James)

Yom Shabbat May 10th , Location Michigan - Brother Randy's Home 1:00pm-5:00pm Parsha 31 Emor “Say” May 10, 2008 5 Iyyar 5768 Leviticus 21:1–24:23 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 13, John 21  Parsha 31  Wayiqra 21:1- 24:23 21:17-  If we are being called to be kings and priests in The Kingdom; then there will have to be a great healing upon us, for most, if not all, of us have some type of 'blemish'! 23:3 " in all your dwellings'; according to  the Chumash, was actually speaking of the lands of our dispersion, not our personal dwellings. This reminds me of the questio of where do we keep Shabbat? We know that the Messiah was outside His dwelling, along with His talmidim, when they were seen picking grain upon the Shabbat. But for them to have been seen, so too must have been the Pharisee's) who confronted Yahushua. 23:11 There has been much controversy over which day this is refers to, but verse 15 explicitly states that 7 full weeks are to be counted, not 6 full weeks and 2 partial weeks. 23:14 There are some who claim that no grain (from either the past harvest not the current harvest) could be eaten. This is totally absurd, as this would prevent the eating of matzoth, and the Messiah would ahve been guilty of eating grain during this time when He broke bread at Pesach. Verse 27 appears to be refering to all Christians, this is also true of chpt. 23. 24:5 If the 12 loaves represent the 12 tribes, is it possible that the 2/10th epha of flour represents the remnant who make it through the tribulation? II Schmuel 12 Verse 31 Is this speaking of the killing or servitude of Amnon? Yoch.20 Verse 17 The wave offering had not yet been "lifted up" to YHWH ! This concludes the notes for 5-3.  (notes courtesy of bro. James)

Yom Shabbat May 3rd , Location Michigan - Brother James Home 1:00pm-5:00pm Parsha 30 Kedoshim “Holy” May 3, 2008 28 Nisan 5768 Leviticus 19:1–20:27 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 12, John 20

Yom Shabbat April 26th , Location Michigan - The Olson's Family Home 1:00pm-5:00pm Unleavened Bread/Pesach Readings or as determined at Shul - Exodus 12:21–51; Numbers 28:16–25; Joshua 3:5–7, 5:2–6:1, 6:27 April 20–April 26, 2008 (the next Parsha is not listed in the FFOZ guide until May 3rd) Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 11, John 19

Yom Shabbat April 19th , Location Michigan - Brother James Cramer's Home 12:00AM-5:00pm Parsha 29 Acharei Mot “After the death” April 19, 2008 14 Nisan 5768 Leviticus 16:1–18:30 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 10, John 18 then PASSOVER! 4-14-08 Parsha 29&30  Wayiqra 16:1- 16:15 Though there is only one day each year that the High Priest can enter the Most Kadosh Place, it is apparent that he enters several times throughout the day. The word translated often as "iniquity" is actually better translated as 'rebellion'. This makes the sin of iniquity very serious, as to be rebellious, is to know what one should do but refuse to do it. 17:13 Those who adhere to the practice of 'kashuring' (soaking meats in salt overnight); need to read this verse very carefully. 18:19 Sexual relations during 'niddah' are forbidden. many of the "defilements" mentioned in this section we see blatantly in our society today. How much longer will Yah put up with it? 19:23-25 After a fruit tree is planted, it is harvested for personal use only once in the first 7 years. Yoch. 18:19-24 In reading this Scripture, it appears that there are 2 High Priests, our conclusion is that the Priests change sometime around this period, (probably on Rosh Kodesh) and that Annas was acting in an advisory position. Yom Shabbat April 12th, Location Michigan - HOME SHABBAT 1:00-5:00pm  - Parsha 28 Metzora “Leper” April 12, 2008 7 Nisan 5768 Leviticus 14:1–15:33 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 9, John 17

Yom Shabbat April 5th, Location Michigan - The Olson home 1:00-5:00pm  - Parsha 27 Tazria “Conceived” April 5, 2008 29 Adar-II 5768 Leviticus 12:1–13:59 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 8, John 16 4-5-08 Parsh 27&28 Wayiqra 12:1 - Verse13  What the Scriptures here are describing as leprosy consists of more maladies then modern medicine are inclined to observe. Leprosy of a fabric appears to be some kind of a fungus or yeast infestation, and apparently is contagious in some form to humans. We are amazed that there is no Scriptures revealing any type healing remedy for these maladies. !! Schmuel 8: Metheg-Ammon= bridal; of the mother city. Did King David break the command in Duet. to not collect many horses and chariots. Perhaps the reason he kept a few was to  have fast communications throughout his kingdom Vrs. 2  We wondered what these measures consisted of? Did David have those over/under a certain height slain? It is curious. 13 "Dawid made a name for himself". In The genesis account of Babylon, this was a bad thing. Could it be that because Dawid gave kavod to YHWH that this was considered tov? 16: In The Restoration Scriptures, we see a "recorder" noted as one of the offices in his kingdom. Wonder was expressed as to what exactly this position entailed. Yoch. 16: In verse 2 Moshe has a note concerning a council of Yavneh. We were wondering if there is some source for more info on this council. None were familiar whether Josephus mentions it anywhere. Some discussion on how it is possible to accept Moshe K's. comment about the relationship between YHWH and Yahushua. Perhaps the analogy of a flashlight might best express it. i.e. There is the source; which we can see, There is the manifestation  (area lighted by the source) which we can see, But the beams of light; (In most circumstances) is invisible to us. 13: is a challenge to those who hold to the 'trinity' view of traditional Christianity. 20: Who are those in the 'olam hazah' who are rejoicing? 25: a very encouraging verse when viewed through the verse 12. This is what He has been doing throughout history. We discussed for those not as familiar with the 4 levels of teachings in Scriptures, just what the Pashat level as mentioned here was. (notes courtesy of bro. James)

Yom Shabbat March 29th, Location Michigan - Brother Randy's Home 1:00-5:00pm  - Parsha 26 Sh’mini “Eighth” March 29, 2008 22 Adar-II 5768 Leviticus 9:1–11:47 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 7, John 15

3-29-08  Parsha 26 Wayiqra 9:1-11:47 The reading of 9:8&9 seem to indicate that Aharons' sons caught the blood of the sacrifice which was to be used in the offerings. Question posed was how were they able to; or were they even able to avoid getting blood on their garments. There was a Scripture given earlier concerning the removal of blood from the garments, but I could not find it again, so it seems that YHWH had taken this into consideration. The "Chumash" gives an excellent account of the order of the sacrifices and the significance of that order. Why could not Aharon mourn the death's of his sons? According to the "Chumash" it was because they broke away from the commanded regulations of the Torah for this and that because they sinned in doing so, the High Priest could not mourn for the commitment of sin, so as to be an example of how YHWH looks upon sin as (filthy){ my own words}. It was noted that the Uzzi-El of II Chron. 26 is related to the Uzzi-Yah who is Aharon's son. 10:9-20 Sometimes there are circumstances/ conditions where a command can be altered, but it must be with a very definite and positive reason. Chapter 11 dealing with the "clean and unclean" meats which those who are set-apart are allowed to eat. By following these strict dietary laws; (along with the the keeping of Torah in general) we become a Kadosh people. Was 9:24 and 10:2 recording the same event? Discussion concerning this and it's place in the 'order' of things. 11: Wonder was expressed about the designation of differing owls when it appears that to mentions owls period would suffice. This also led to a discussion of the blood in fish and insects and how it differs from animal blood, as well as a discussion of the eating of insects which many seems to find repulsive. 11:39-40 Is this a contradiction with Deut. 14:21? Need to also see what the "Artscroll" commentary has to say concerning Lev.17:15 and 22:8 II Schmuel 7: Yah promises to establish David's family as rulers over Israel; this is a comforting fact in the face of the fact that he has been denied to ability to build The Temple. We noted a difference between the attitudes of Hezekiah  who was pleased that condemnation for his sins and shortcoming in leading Israel would not come in his lifetime, whereas David was thankful for the promise of progenies. Brit Chadasha reading was Yoch.15 notes were not taken during this discussions here regrettably. Discussion:: I Cor. 10:23 Taken at face value, you could do whatever you wanted. But just because something is permissible, does it edify?  (Mark 7:15&18) Is this speaking of spiritual things? The defilement of eating or touching an unclean thing is only temporary; whereas the defilement from our heart can only be cleansed through the atoning blood of Yahushua. 7:20-23 (notes courtesy of bro. James)

Yom Shabbat March 22nd, Location Michigan - Brother James Cramer's Home 1:00-5:00pm  - Parsha 25 Tzav “Command” March 22, 2008 15 Adar-II 5768 Leviticus 6:1(8)*–8:36 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 6, John 14 3-22-08 Parsha 25 Wayiqra 6:8-8:36 6:13  Just as the priests had to add fuel to the alter to keep the fire alive, we must feed the Ruach to keep it's fire going within us. We do this through our commune with YHWH. Why was the 'burnt offering completely burned in the fire? Was this a picture of what would happen to unrepentant sinners? 7:15 Does this suggest that the morning begins a new day? This appears to be the premise of those who hold to Shabbat only being the daylight hours of the "day". 8:16  Why were only these three pieces of the burnt offering placed upon the alter? Even the Jews today have lost track of the significance of these particular pieces in this sacrifice.  It is notable that in the burnt offering, all is to be consumed by fire, either the choice parts on the alter, or the rest in a place set aside outside the camp. In the rest of the offerings, there are portions that may be eaten by either the priests or the offered and his family, depending on the type of offering it is. (notes courtesy of bro. James)

Yom Shabbat March 15th, Location Michigan - Dr Richard, and Janice Clore's Home 1:00-5:00pm  - Parsha 24 Vayikra “And he called” March 15, 2008 8 Adar-II 5768 Leviticus 1:1–5:26 (6:7)* Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 5, John 13 Before the study, ice-breakers were given by all attending; which by the way included Bro. Wayne and his wife. It was really great to see them both again and enjoy their input. The third tithe was one of the subjects spoke on and an explanation that this was not a yearly tithe. Also that this tithe was specifically designated for the widow and poor. The sacrifices were very briefly discussed as some found it a distasteful subject. Strange considering that the Scriptures tell us that without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sin. Also; since the Scriptures tell us they will again be instituted in the millennium, we should be aware that Yah has a reason for the sacrifices. We read the haf-torah portion to help bring a bit more understanding on the topic of sacrifice. Moved into the realm of unquestioned obedience. if we as parents can appreciate this in our children, how much more so can and will our Master YHWH appreciate it in us? (notes courtesy of bro. James)

Erev Shabbat, March 14th,  Location Jackson Michigan Evening Adult Torah Study 101 including the Parsha reading beginning at 6 PM on Erev Shabbat Brother Jack Clore's Home  6:00PM-8:00PM We were pleased to have Bro. Wayne join us along with Bros. Richard, Randy, Cary, and sisters Janice and Colleen.  We had an interesting discussion early in the meeting concerning the seminar that Richard and I attended this month in Lansing sponsored by the Prophesy Club.  The speaker was Joseph Dumond from Ontario, Canada.  He led an interesting teaching on the jubilees.  He attempted to pinpoint known events in history to determine where we are in time now. If he is correct, we're in for a rough time in the next few years if Israel doesn't come out of Babylon and return to YHVH.  Another interesting thing he pointed out was that we are in the year of the third tithe in which we are obligated to support the widow, the orphan, and the poor.  He suggested that we'd be wise to adhere to this.  He wouldn't go into detail as to how he derived this because he said he was there to talk about the years of jubilee, and didn't want to be distracted. Another thing Brother Dumond brought to light was his belief that because of Hebrew law Yeshua haMoshiah was required to die by stoning while hanging on the tree. Again, because of the subject he was trying to cover he didn't go into detail, but said to Google his name for his website for further explanation.  Anyway, getting back to the jubilee years, Bro. Dumond feels that haMoshiach will set foot on the Mount of Olives in the year 2045.  Dummond emphasized that he has derived his findings through a lot of research and study, but always maintains an open mind to differing opinions that can be backed up by scripture. Some other discussion that took place was concerning the Michigan artifacts that several of the group drove to Lansing to see this month.  They were impressed with the display, but said only a small portion was brought out to be seen, and the person in charge seemed not to be of the persuasion that they were authentic or had anything to do with evidence that there existed Hebrew visitors to the state in ancient times. Yom Shabbat March 1, Location - OLSONS' FAMILY HOME 1:00-5:00pm  - Parsha 22 Vayak’hel “And assembled” March 1, 2008 24 Adar-I 5768 Exodus 35:1–38:20 Bet Shmuel/2nd Samuel 3, John 11 3-1-08  Parsha 22 Shemoth 35:1-38:20 35:8  This appears to be the same anointing oil mentioned in our last Parsha reading. Verse 11 We notice that there is a 'tent' mentioned here as well as The Tabernacle. We find it more fully explained in 36:14. Also in this section we find that The Tabernacle apparently refers to all the items included in the service within the Tabernacle. 37: Wonder was expressed concerning 'the poles' used to carry the larger objects in the Tabernacle. Since apparently the poles used to carry The Ark of The Covenant were never removed, why were they not made as one piece with the Ark? 38:20 These offerings seem to be impromptu and spontaneous. !! Schmuel 3:19 Why was Benjamin mentioned separately from Israel? Shual was a Benjamite, thus the tribe of Benjamin would probably have continued to hold hostility toward David. Avner appears to be responsible for Israel's re-uniting under King David. Yoch.11:51-52 Whereas Moshe K. (in his notes) feels that verse 51 refers to the Jewish nation, and 52 as the nation of Israel; our feeling is that 51 includes both Judah and Israel, and 52 are those who gather themselves to Israel.  (notes courtesy of bro. James)
